Iford Village Hall, is located in the idyllic haven of a small farming village, nestled beneath the South Downs, yet is still within easy reach of Lewes and Brighton.

Facilities

Training at Iford is non-catered.  You will need to provide your own lunch and snacks.

The hall has a fully equipped kitchen, with a fridge to store cold foods and a microwave.

A selection of teas and coffee will be provided and a small selection of sweet snacks.  Milk and oat milk will be available, however, if you require anything additional please ensure you bring it with you.

There is weak phone reception and limited wi-fi connectivity at this venue

Additional Information

Iford is located in a rural location and there are no shops within the local area.  Please be sure to bring everything you will need to get you through the day (tea, coffee and water are provided).

During the winter the venue can get a little chilly, especially when we encourage ventilation into the building.  We encourage you to bring plenty of layers of clothing, possibly a blanket.

Accessibility

The training room and garden and kitchen are fully accessible for wheelchair users.  The toilet facilities are currently not fully accessible for those using a wheelchair.  If you are a wheelchair user or have mobility limitations please contact the LWDW Training office to discuss your options.

There is no hearing loop at this venue

Transport

Driving:

Travelling south from Lewes on the C7 road to Rodmell and Piddinghoe, after 2 miles turn left at sign saying ‘Iford and Church’ and at the first set of double bends go straight into the hall car park. Alternatively, if travelling on the A27 from Brighton (from the west) or from Eastbourne (from the east) turn right or left respectively at the Kingston roundabout. After travelling through Kingston at the T junction (with the Garden Centre opposite) turn right along the C7.

There is ample free car parking in the car park beside the hall.  Please park in the inner car park.

Train:

Lewes is the nearest mainline train station and is approximately ten minutes by taxi. There is a taxi office opposite the station. The number 123 bus also goes to Iford (alight at Iford Vicarage, with about a two-minute walk). 123 Bus Timetable.
