The Osanna Wilder Bursary Fund
LWDW Training are very fortunate to be the beneficiary of a legacy left by the late Osanna Wilder. This generous support from a wonderful lady enables us the opportunity to offer a limited number of very special bursaries to individuals who wholeheartedly want to take part in our training courses, but are limited by financial constraints which would otherwise put the training out of reach for them.
About Osanna
Osanna Wilder was a multi-talented woman. She had a great love of people, was a wonderful communicator, linguist and a great traveller. When she was young she was a courier in both Paris and Majorca, which opened doors into the corporate world, firstly with the East Midlands tourist board where she became the Information Officer and later the Press Officer for RSPCA. She went on to become Marketing Director for Anugraha, a hotel and conference centre near Windsor and became a freelance communications and business coach before retiring.
Once she’d stepped back from corporate life, she trained as a psychotherapist and also trained as a garden designer! She spent her latter years exploring painting and became a very talented artist. So even though she had multiple careers it wasn't as a result of a restless spirit, she had great capacity for life, was curious and found fulfillment through her own personal and spiritual development.
Osanna was an avid supporter of Living Well Dying Well from the very beginning and brought her phenomenal skills, humour and guidance to the board of LWDW training. It was very fitting that she was cared for by a small team of doulas at the end of her life. She will be very sadly missed, however her legacy is a wonderful gift to enable future generations of doulas to access the training, through the Osanna Wilder Bursary Fund.

When to Apply
We award bursaries four times per year, and you can apply for any of the four bursary windows at any point during the year. Our bursary windows are planned to coincide with the release of our training courses, so it helps to know when you anticipate starting your training.
